As with the series's earlier entries, Dmitry Glukhovsky's Metro books served as the ambition for Metro Exodus. In terms of gameplay, it is a mainstay of the first-person shooter genre, but the narrative is quite innovative. The Game's developer is Deep Silver, and the title was designed by the Malta-based but Ukrainian-born 4A Games studio. Metro: 2033 and Metro: Last Night is the preceding episodes in the series. Two decades had passed since the events of Metro: Last Night when The Metro Exodus' adventure began.

It is the year 2036. A few thousand evacuees remain alive in the Metro tunnels beneath the rubble of Moscow, 25 years after nuclear war decimated the planet. They have battled poisoned elements, fought mutant animals and supernatural creatures, and suffered the wrath of civil war. Unfortunately, you must leave the Metro as Artyom and lead a team of Spartan Rangers on an incredible, continent-spanning adventure across post-apocalyptic Russia in Quest of a new start in the East.

Scenario

The story starts in 2036, only twenty years after the completion of the previous episode in the series. Here, every member must be familiar with the background of the Metro Exodus Game's circumstances: the earth was devastated by nuclear attacks in 2013.

In the parallel timeline, the Russian Federation is a vast wasteland crowded with those who remain struggling to cope with the unpleasant truth and horrifying monsters of diverse, weird shapes. The player follows the 23-year-old lead Artyom's adventure. He has navigated his way through the former Russian borders after fleeing the Moscow subway. Luckily, he isn't alone; the so-called Spartan Rangers are with him. They all put in the effort to travel to the distant East. Near the Volga River, in the Ural Mountains, we ran across Artyom. He boarded the Aurora subway, which was travelling east and got onboard.

He desires to begin a new, brighter life with his spouse, Anna. The entire storyline is tied up in a single year, and the gameplay focuses on the four distinct seasons. The opening scene occurs in the winter season in Moscow Metro.
