The Plot
Lucius Wagner, the protagonist, was born on June 6, 1966, in the evening. A ritual carried out by a member of a demonic sect sends a dark figure into the room where Lucius was born. Except for his parents' extraordinary wealth, Lucius Wagner's boyhood in the opulent manor house on the exclusive estate of his father, Charles Wagner, and his wife, Nancy, was as typical as any child's formative years. Young Lucius had no idea that his grandfather Fabius, who had connections to organised crime, was responsible for some of the wealth in his family. On the night of his sixth birthday, after a party, he receives a visit from Lucifer, asked him to lock a maid in the freezer.
Once more, visiting Lucius when he is dozing off, Lucifer, this time, reveals that he is Lucius' birth father. He assigns Lucius the responsibility of assassinating every manor resident as part of a debt the family owes before sending him off. A deputy and detective, McGuffin, is dispatched to look into the death the following morning.
Lucius slowly eliminates the residents of the manor over the coming months, using everyday household items and a select group of supernatural abilities that he develops over time. Every death is staged to appear accidental. A resident of the mansion is poisoned, which prompts additional research.
When Lucius discovers his uncle Tom's affair with one housemaid, he fabricates evidence to place the blame on Jovita, another maid. Lucius kills Tom by poisoning his liquor bottle with a vial kept in a satanic ritual room under the manor's wine cellar after faking her death as a suicide. After Fabius refuses to attend Tom's burial, Charles starts to suspect him. After being expelled by a distraught Charles, McGuffin admits his mistakes and summons two monks to the manor. A journalist who broke into the villa to get a story on the deaths is knocked out by Fabius after he sends the priests away.
He awakens Lucius after realising his true calling, and the two skulk out to the basement where he intends to kill the journalist. Lucius betrays Fabius by stabbing him in the back, leaving his blood in the bowls on the table rather than the journalists. Lucius deduces that Fabius is no longer required for him to achieve his purpose. Now conscious, the journalist fights Lucius but is slain by him when he uses his newly acquired pyrokinetic talents.
After both people are killed, McGuffin gets into trouble regarding the journalist's disappearance, and a concerned Charles finds a book that describes his father's satanic practices.
Charles speculates that Lucius has been doomed as a result of Fabius' deeds after realising that his father had a lot more complicated past than he initially revealed. When McGuffin and his deputy arrive at the scene, Lucius plans to kill her using his mystical powers as he searches for proof to show this to a mentally unbalanced Nancy. Charles accuses Lucius of being at fault and leaves. Lucius is given the custody of McGuffin's subordinate after McGuffin gives chase. He succeeds in setting the manor on fire with a fireball after Lucius kills him. Charles reappears with the two monks McGuffin initially sent to thwart Lucius as the villa is swiftly consumed in flames.
