Gameplay

In the third-person action-adventure game Just Cause 2, players take on the role of Rico Rodriguez, a field agent for the Agency, as they attempt to destroy the island dictatorship of Panau in an open universe. The three different mission types in the game. The game's primary campaign consists of agency missions, which advance the plot. Faction missions ask players to support the game's three factions, and stronghold objectives ask them to enter government facilities and free them for the factions. 

The game's new advancement mechanism, chaos points, requires players to accumulate them to continue through the campaign missions. Players can accrue chaos points by completing tasks and destroying designated government property.
