From Dust is the latest unique Game idea from "Another World / Out of this World" creator Eric Chahi.

 

In the video Game From Dust, players assume the role of a god-like-first-person observer and manage an archipelago setting to save and enlighten a nomadic tribe and aid them in their search for their lost knowledge.

Campaigns in From Dust are organised as a series of missions in which achieving specific goals speeds up the tribe's progress and gives new abilities, such as jellifying water.

 

 

Gameplay

 

The Game offers the player to choose from two Game modes: Story mode and Challenge mode.

 

The Game's story mode consists of a series of quests that follow a lost tribe as they use the player to go through various levels and figure out what happened to their former tribe. They can start building their town near the totem by assisting the tribe in locating the other totems strewn over a map. Players can also send tribe members in search of magical stones to control the environment, for example, via the repulsion of water and fire. A portal will appear, allowing the player to go onto the following map once the tribe has successfully constructed settlements next to each totem.

 

The gameplay in Challenge mode is comparable to that in Story mode. The gameplay in Challenge mode is different since it moves faster, has more riddles, and sacrifices any backstory. There are 30 levels, and players must meet specific requirements to advance. Each Level is a few minutes long and has progressively challenging but entertaining gameplay. Players' completion times for levels are tracked on an online scoreboard that other players can observe.
