Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Beast of Winter is a role-playing video Game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Versus Evil. It was released for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux in August 2018. This is the first DLC expansion for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Pillars of Eternity.

Deadfire - Beast of Winter is set in the world of Eora, where the player takes on the role of a Watcher, who can see and communicate with souls. The player character is drawn into a conflict between various factions, including the gods. In the Beast of Winter DLC, the player explores a frozen island called Harbingers' Watch, home to an ancient cult that worships Rymrgand, the god of entropy and death.

Gameplay 

Beast of Winter is similar to that of the base Game. It is an isometric, party-based RPG that features real-time with pause combat. The player creates a party of up to five characters, each with skills and abilities, and explores the Game world. And has many quests and characters to interact with, and the player's choices significantly impact the Game's story.

In combat, players can pause the Game to issue commands to their party members. Each character has a range of skills and abilities, and the player can choose how to build their characters to suit their playstyle. Deadfire - Beast of Winter also features a range of magical spells and skills, which can buff the player's party or debuff their enemies.

Story 

Deadfire - Beast of Winter revolves around the player's journey to Harbingers' Watch. The island is home to an ancient cult that worships Rymrgand, the god of entropy and death. The player must navigate the dangerous Terrain of the island and battle the cult's followers, including powerful wizards and undead warriors. Along the way, the player will encounter various characters with motivations and agendas. The player's choices and actions drive the story, and the Game enables multiple endings based on the player's decisions.
