In I Am Alive, the player assumes the role of a lone survivor in a plausible post-apocalyptic world that is gloomy and unstable. A man fights for survival in a desolate metropolis one year after the Catastrophe, a cataclysmic global event that wiped out most of the human species. He is also trying to find his wife and daughter, who have been missing for a long time.
