The developer of Slain: Back From Hell, a nominee for the Unity Awards, has released Valfaris, a 2D intervention with powerful rock influences set in a remote region of the orbit. Terrible conflict, dangerous adversaries, beautiful pixel art., a vicious sound Prepare to tear a new wormhole through the universe. A 2D action platformer called Valfaris was created by Steel Mantis and released by Big Sugar. On October 10, 2019, the title was available for Windows and the Nintendo Switch. Later, on November 5 for the PlayStation 4 and November 8 for the Xbox One, it was made available. The tangible editions of the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions were sold by Merge Games. They were first revealed in August 2021 and then made public in November.

Therion, a warrior in the videogame, discovers that Valfaris, his hometown, has become chaotic upon his comeback. He embarks on a Quest to discover what transpired in his house, eliminate its evil occupants, and murder his father.

Reviewers gave Valfaris largely positive feedback. For PC and consoles, Valfaris: Mecha Therion will be the sequel in 2022.
