Over your castle, the Angel of Death is circling! The DLC for The Emperor & The Hermit adds two other AI foes and a brand-new Crusader Trail adventure. The Emperor and The Hermit, inspired by religious fervour, are the spiritual heirs to The Emperor and The Abbot from the first Stronghold Crusader (2002). Both leaders pose a grave new threat to all parties in the Crusader struggle since they are supported by fanatics who blindly adhere to their cause, no matter how corrupt or right. Seven new objectives, two AI opponents, ten awards, more player shields, and new castle layouts particular to The Emperor and The Hermit are all included in the upcoming Stronghold Crusader 2 extension, The Emperor & The Hermit.

Despite the weight of the sacred lands, new adventures. The coming rivalry between lords for control of the desert will accompany a fervent religious subsequent. The Hermit has been rendered blind by his self-righteous assertion of sacred power after years of solitary adoration. He now leads legions of assassins, ensuring his adversaries are the only ones who see his advancing Army. The Emperor arrives from further away, and he will stop at nothing to use the large troops at his disposal to extend his dominion into the remote reaches of the Middle East. The difficulty curve has been increased, so cunning strategies and battle-tested wits will be required to complete the seven skirmishes and three maps in the "The Emperor & The Hermit" skirmish trail! Bring ice and drink since the scorching heat increases, and the new foes are unforgiving with their blades.

The Emperor is a famous religious figure who was formerly adored all across the world and is originally from Germany. The Emperor now heads a renegade group of zealots who think God has chosen him to lead them in the holy land, despite being expelled from the Church and humiliated in the eyes of his previous adherents. The Emperor will do whatever it takes to retake his old authority and control since he has given up all feelings of religious commitment to his fellow humans. He appears in the Game as an aged man with an awful complexion that contrasts with nice clothing and oddly decent hair.

The Hermit - Raised in a very religious environment on territory currently being utilised as a battleground, The Hermit is slightly annoyed by the invasion of Crusader armies. With no preordained power, royal pedigree, military experience, or mansion to serve as a status symbol, The Hermit represents somewhat of a departure for Stronghold. He commands an Army of religious fanatics who share his anger over the incursion and desire to avenge the blood of the Crusaders.
