The 2D graphic fiction battle royale franchise Melty Blood, also known as Merubura, was created in collaboration with French-Bread and Djin Circles Type-Moon as a meta-sequel to the first graphic novel by Type-Moon, Tsukihime. The original Game debuted at Comiket in December 2002. Eventually, it gave rise to several successors, including Act Cadenza, an arcade adaptation created by Ecole Software that was also converted to the PlayStation 2, making it the first Type-Moon Game to get a console publication.
