Jagged Alliance: Back in Action (PC) was published by THQ Nordic and developed by bitComposer Games in 2012. It is a Single-Playe RPG strategy Game. The Jagged Alliance was the first Game of the Jagged Alliance Series released in 1995. Jagged Alliance: Back in Action is a full-scale remake of Jagged Alliance 2. It was initially titled Jagged Alliance: Reloaded. The remake's declared objective was to strengthen both the visual flaws and the core gameplay of the original Game. Key strategic components like boarding-capable vehicles and militia training have been deleted, making the plot and substance considerably different from the original. Instead of the time-based remuneration of the original, mercenaries are easy to train and can be hired permanently for a one-time cost. There are no more extended conversation trees with NPCs; instead, there is linear "speak or stop talking" speech. Funny cut-scenes that highlighted the Queen's antics have also been eliminated. The Game's goal is to rescue the island from the dictator's iron grip.

Jagged Alliance: Back in Action presents isometric 3D graphics from the period. The user interface was redone, and it now features a new, thorough tutorial that teaches brand-new players how to conduct themselves in the Game. The traditional Jagged Alliance mainstay of turn-based gameplay is optionally removed in favour of the new real-time "Plan & Go" system. Since there was no longer any fog of war, the tactical aspect of the Game was also made simpler and faster to play because there was no need for the player to plan for ambushes or surprise attacks from the opposition. Back in Action, created from the ground up to provide a contemporary gaming experience, boasts an upgraded isometric 3D appearance and interface, exceptionally detailed character models, and several fresh gameplay features. 

Back in Action transports players to the fictional nation of Arulco, where a brutal tyrant has taken control, and only a few rebels remain to challenge her. Players will command rebel and mercenary forces as they use tactical, diplomatic, and economic tools to keep troops stocked and prepared for the next flight, all while directly leading them in nerve-wracking combat.
