Gameplay

A truck driving simulator with company management features is called Euro Truck Simulator 2. In an open-world recreation of Europe, players operate articulated lorries to deliver cargo to predetermined places in exchange for cash and experience points. To earn the maximum money and experience points, the payload must be carried to the destination within a predetermined timeframe and with the least harm to the cargo as feasible. Refuelling, toll fees in some nations, and maintenance fees if the damage is sustained are all expenses that players must pay.

Players initially select the city of their headquarters from among those on the Game map. The player can initially only accept "quick tasks," which entail making deliveries as a hired driver while working for a delivery service, using a given truck and having all costs (fuel, tolls, ferry rides) paid for. The player can eventually afford to buy a vehicle for themselves, get a home garage, and start to accept better-paying jobs by utilizing their truck rather than being a driver for hire with stuff being provided when they accumulate money or take out bank loans.

The Game's currency can be used to upgrade or buy new customizable trucks and ownable trailers, hire non-player characters as delivery drivers, purchase additional garages and expand them to house more vehicles and drivers. The player can build a sizable fleet of trucks, each with the option of having its trailer and drivers drive the fleet, extending the business across Europe as their skills as drivers increase with experience.

After each delivery, the player receives experience points. Each level-up results in the awarding of a skill point. Deliveries requiring different ADR classes, longer distance deliveries, unusual cargo loads, fragile cargo loads, urgent deliveries, and eco-driving can all be unlocked with skill points. The player can accept higher-paying occupations thanks to this advancement. The base Game includes:
