Battle Chasers: Nightwar is an RPG inspired by the best console games. It adopts the JRPG aesthetic and visuals, allowing you to explore enormous dungeons and engage in turn-based battles with challenging foes. A turn-based role-playing video Game called Battle Chasers: Nightwar was made by Airship Syndicate and distributed by THQ Nordic. It was published in October 2017 for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One and in May 2018 for the Nintendo Switch and Linux.  Based on Joe Madureira's Battle Chasers fantasy comic novel series, the Game sees the actors of that sequence adrift on an island and compelled to halt the schemes of an evil sorceress to flee.

Airship Syndicate, a firm founded by former Vigil Games employees, created their debut Game, Battle Chasers: Nightwar. Despite the fact that Airship is headquartered in the United States, the Game is a classic Japanese role-playing Game with certain modifications like randomly generated dungeons. In October 2015, the Game was partially sponsored via a Kickstarter crowdsourcing effort, which raised significant funds for its production.

Storyline

The core group of protagonists includes:

Gameplay

Until they reach a Dungeon, where they investigate in an isometric view likened to Diablo, players progress linearly through the Game's overworld, defeating creatures at predetermined occurrences. There, players can use unique talents to combat adversaries and avoid traps. Using quasi assaults during combat results in "overcharge," which may be utilised in favour of mana in the Game's "end up charging" system. Before entering a Dungeon, the player can choose its Level of complexity, and finishing a labyrinth at higher Level awards more skill credits.
