Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave

Four rivals enter the Heroic Games. Only one wish gets granted. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave drops players into the Dagdan Empire, where sharp tactics, tangled loyalties and a bit of luck decide who walks away a champion. Built exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, it pairs the series' signature strategy with a brand new cast and a world worth getting lost in.

What Is Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave?

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is the newest mainline entry in Nintendo's long running tactical RPG series, developed by Intelligent Systems. Set in the Dagdan Empire, it follows four heroes competing in the Heroic Games, a tournament where the winner's wish is granted by a mysterious ruler known as the Divine Sovereign. The game launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.

When Is the Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Release Date?

The Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave release date is confirmed for September 17, 2026. Nintendo announced the fortunes weave release date during its June 2026 Direct, alongside a full trailer covering the setting, the heroes and the special edition. What Happens in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave?

The story centres on the Heroic Games, a tournament held in the capital city of Dagsion. Four playable heroes take part for very different reasons. Cai wants to free his imprisoned father, Dietrich is chasing a worthy opponent, Theodora hopes to secure her kingdom's future, and Leda is driven by revenge.

Between matches, players can explore Dagsion, train new skills, recruit allies and travel outside the city walls to gain experience. The Dagdan Empire sits within the same universe as Fire Emblem: Three Houses, though Nintendo has not confirmed whether Fortune's Weave is a prequel, a sequel or a separate story altogether. Many longtime fans of the series are already treating it as the biggest fire emblem release since Three Houses.

What's Included in the Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Collector's Edition?

It includes a steel game case, character art cards, a map of Dagda and a full artbook.
