The player can use a knife and/or kick to make physical attacks in addition to shooting.

The majority of the enemy units have melee attacks because the player cannot be killed by enemy contact. The game's landscape can be destroyed in large portions, and sometimes doing so uncovers more goodies or power-ups.

 

The player comes across prisoners of war (POWs) throughout a level, and if they are freed, they grant the player benefits in the form of random objects or weaponry. The player obtains a scoring bonus dependent on the number of POWs rescued at the conclusion of each level.
