Post-apocalyptic independent Game ATOM RPG was influenced by numerous great CRPGs, notably Fallout, Wasteland, System Shock, Deus Ex, Baldur's Gate, and many more.

In reciprocal nuclear explosions in 1986, the Soviet Union and the Western Bloc were obliterated. One of the people who survived the nuclear holocaust is you. It would be best if you investigated the mysterious and untamed Soviet Wasteland. to merit your position in the light. And to look into a sinister plot to exterminate everything that is left of Earth's life.

The indie firm Atom Team created and released the video Game. The Game was made available on December 19, 2018, for the gaming operating systems Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux, through the virtual media distribution services and GOG.com.

Using the Unity 5 technology, an independent developer created the Fallout-inspired ATOM RPG Video Game.

The Fallout aesthetic can be seen in many aspects of ATOM RPG, including interface design, colour scheme, and gaming mechanics. However, other inspirations exist, such as the sociological setting centred on the USSR.

Storyline

It is situated in a post-apocalyptic Wasteland of the former Soviet Union. In reciprocal nuclear explosions in 1986, the USSR and the Western Bloc were obliterated. It's 2005 after 19 years have gone by. The main character is an ATOM agent who survives the nuclear holocaust. He was dispatched on an exploration mission by this surviving member of a dubious Army and technological group to look for a particular team that had vanished while looking inside the strange bunker #317. Gangsters, freaks, harassers, and other survivalists can be found among the hazardous wastes. There is a mysterious plot to exterminate all of Earth's remaining life.

The player finds Bunker #317 and discovers the operations that progressively killed the researchers inside. The player sees the corpses of numerous ATOM operatives from Morozov's team farther inside. According to the facts, there may have been a revolt that resulted in violence. The only other hint is a peculiar pendant necklace worn by local cult followers.

The tale of ATOM RPG is continued in ATOM RPG: Trudograd, a stand-alone extension or successor videogame by the same developer. Two years after the original Game's events, this expansion takes place in Trudograd. In March 2020, it became live on Early Access.
