Vanquish is a third-person shooter video Game developed by PlatinumGames, Little Stone Software and published by Sega. The Game is set in a fictional future where the United States is at war with Russia over a depleted natural resource. The player controls Sam Gideon, a member of DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), as he fights against the invading Russian forces on a space station orbiting the Earth.

Story

The player controls Sam Gideon, a soldier equipped with a high-tech suit developed by DARPA. Sam is sent to the space station to assist a team of US Marines in repelling the Russian invasion. Along the way, Sam discovers a sinister plot by a rogue US military faction to use the space station's technology for their gain.
