Plot
- Polania Campaign A young girl named Anna Kos lives with her father, Piotr, in Polania, which the Russian Army has taken control of following the signing of a cease-fire with Saxony to end a protracted conflict in which Anna's brother Janek was killed. One day, Rusviet soldiers invade Anna's town searching for a scientist. It turns out that the scientist is Piotr, who has a prosthetic arm that can disable military mechs. Colonel Lev Zubov kidnaps Piotr intending to force him to enter Nikola Tesla's factory. To save her father, Anna enlists the help of Polanian Resistance warriors. Lech, Anna's uncle and the head of the Resistance, joins them, but it's too late for Piotr, who has been fatally wounded when Colonel Zubov stole his gun.
- Rusviet Campaign When the peace talks were attacked by militants four weeks earlier, Janek says he was present as a member of the Polish security detail. Working with Rusviet officer Olga Morozova, they were able to save Tsar Nicholas from his blazing palace, but he was presumed killed when the castle collapsed on top of him. Tsar Nicholas identified Fenris as the perpetrator and charged Olga with locating and destroying the organisation. While this was going on, Rusviet researchers working for Colonel Zubov rescued the life of Janek by transforming him into a cyborg using leftover Tesla technology.
- Saxony Campaign General Gunter von Duisburg, a Saxon, recalls distressing wartime experiences. Gunter joined Prince Wilhelm in Saxony's invasion of Poland at the commencement of the conflict. Despite being successful, the onslaught experienced significant difficulties because of unexpectedly fierce Polish opposition. The sheer number of losses stunned Prince Wilhelm, who grew increasingly angry with Rusviet and disenchanted with the war. This ultimately resulted in him defying orders and employing chlorine gas against the Rusviets, a decision Gunter opposed because it would likely elicit a similar response from the Rusviet. In a different mission, Prince Wilhelm loses control and massacres Rusviet prisoners, which prompts Gunter to strike him and dishonour his position and career.
