Descrição do produto
With its arsenal of unheard-of weaponry and strategies, BioShock is a shooter unlike any other you've ever played. First, you'll have access to a full armament, including basic revolvers, grenade launchers, and chemical throwers. Still, you'll also be required to genetically change your DNA to make yourself an even deadlier weapon. In addition, you can use injectable plasmids to grant yourself superhuman abilities, such as the ability to send electrical currents into water to electrocute several adversaries or to freeze them solid and destroy them with a wrench.
No two encounters unfold the same way, and no two players approach the game similarly.
The sequel, Bioshock 2, is also live!
Gameplay
Similar to System Shock 2, BioShock is a first-person shooter with role-playing game customisation and stealth components.
- While being led across Rapture to various goals, the player assumes the role of Jack. While overcoming hostile forces, the player acquires several weapons and plasmids.
- The player can choose between one active weapon and one active plasmid at any moment, which gives them the freedom to develop combo strikes that can be effective against specific foes, such as shocking a Splicer before slicing them in half with a wrench.
- The player's ammunition collection determines the range of available weaponry; however, many guns have secondary ammo types that can be substituted to gain further advantages, such as fire damage-dealing rounds.
Plot
The main character, Jack, is a passenger aboard a plane that crashed in the Atlantic Ocean in 1960. Jack, the last survivor, travels to a nearby lighthouse with a bathysphere terminal to get to Rapture. Atlas makes touch with Jack through the radio and directs him to face the dangers of the destroyed city.
Atlas points Jack to a docked bathysphere where he claims Ryan has imprisoned his family and asks for his assistance in stopping Ryan. When Jack first encounters the Little Sisters, Atlas urges him to kill them so he can harvest their ADAM, but Dr Tenenbaum insists that Jack spare them and gives him a plasmid that can remove the sea slug from their bodies and release them from their brainwashing. As a result, the Little Sisters are released from their brainwashing.
Key Features
- Biologically alter your body: unleash a swarm of deadly hornets that have hatched from the veins in your arms, send fire raging from your fingertips, and more.
- Hack tools and systems, improve your weaponry, and create new kinds of ammunition.
- Make everything into a weapon, including your worst opponents, the surroundings, your body, fire, and water.
