Storyline

Professional thieves searching for an ancient artefact sneak into the private quarters of a corrupt nobleman to find their objective, narrowly evading the fury of the city guards each time. They face the shadowy depths of the underground and seek refuge in the seedy slums of the city in their desperation to find a way out. They are being pursued by rival gangs, heavily armed city guards, and insane families of underground cannibals. These young companions, taken advantage of by greedy crooks and abandoned by the system, will be forced to face their realities. But take note: nobody is safe in the Children of Zodiarcs universe!

Gameplay

Final Fantasy Tactics, Shining Force, and other vintage tactical role-playing games, as well as board games and collectable card games like Magic: The Gathering, served as the inspiration for Children of Zodiarcs. Cards and dice are used in the Game's dynamic mechanism to create tension and suspense. Every step of the way, your capacity for flexibility will be put to the test!

• You hold your attacks, spells, and special powers in your hands. Play the ace you kept hidden until you have correctly cornered the unfortunate person who will suffer your wrath and then release the beast!
• Positioning is critical; think through your moves and push and flank your adversaries. But keep in mind where it will leave you after your turn!
• Your cards and dice complement each other well. Get that additional round to accomplish the job by rolling and rerolling them intelligently to enhance your damage or activate special effects!
• In between encounters, use the deck builder to modify your characters' weapons to meet the upcoming difficulties. Why not let your assassin hang back healer-style with a couple more green cards in her deck the next time your tank joins in on the fun?
