Gameplay

The Game features offline and online multiplayer options. Before competing in the Junior Youth World Challenge, an international U-16 event, players in New Hero had the opportunity of representing Nankatsu Middle School, Furano Middle School, Toho Academy, Musashi Middle School, Otomo Middle School, or Hanawa Middle School. The single-player story mode in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is divided into two sub-modes: Episode Tsubasa, which lets players experience the original plot, and Episode New Hero, which allows them to create their characters and Level up similarly to the Player Career mode in the FIFA series or the Become A Legend mode in Pro Evolution Soccer.

• The characters won't be given to you directly. Three DLC story missions must be finished to get each character.
• Taro Misaki: New playable character Taro Misaki is now accessible in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions.
• You won't get the character right away. Three missions in the DLC story must be completed to earn them.
