Gameplay

 

The top-down perspective is used for turn-based ground combat. By directing their position in the battle zone and giving them orders to take cover, fire, and employ strategies like overwatch, the player can command a variety of military formations and personnel. Each unit has three actions it can take throughout its turn. An enemy can be "staggered," which prevents them from using special attacks and costs them one action point. With the introduction of the "grazing" mechanism, failed bullets now deal half as much damage as successful ones. Military units can be equipped and modified with various mods to improve their combat effectiveness.
