The UFO: Afterlight is a real lime tactic and turn-based strategy video game, which is the third in the Altar games' UFO series. 

 

The story of UFO: Afterlight is based on Mars. The story starts where UFO: Aftermath left off and runs concurrently with UFO: Aftershock.

 

While on earth, The Laputans are fighting the Wargots and Starghost to find out the cause of their home planet's destruction, a small colony on Mars is trying to survive and flourish. 

 

Like its predecessors, the game combines squad-level calculated combat with overlying strategic elements.

 

The game is a roller-coaster taking the player on an adventure ride through intergalactic combats and struggles. As the player moves forward in the game, he gains more details about the intergalactic organisms called Myrmecols that reside in the solar system.

 

The Scientific research and communication with the different groups on the earth make him understand the different perspectives on the events of the two previous sequels.

 

In UFO: Afterlight, The player will experiment with brand new technologies, a unique environment and enemies, both old and unknown.

 

Gameplay

 

The game has two parts- the first part consists of a strategic game that involves claiming a territory, building structures on the planet and managing production and research along with managing personnel training and base management and diplomacy where resources and items may be traded with other parties. 

 

The other part of the game consists of tactical elements like the previous UFO titles, where up to seven soldiers can be equipped and deployed to accomplish a goal in a mission.
