The game Tomb Raider V, Chronicles follows the previous instalment, Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation presuming Lara Croft to be dead with friends gathering for a memorial service at her house and sharing stories about her earlier adventures.

 

In the action-adventure video game Tomb Raider Chronicles, the player takes on the character of archaeologist Lara Croft as she explores several ancient ruins and tombs in search of ancient artefacts. The Chronicles' events are presented as a sequence of flashbacks of Lara's experiences at various stages in her life.

 

The levels are distributed across four different places:

• Rome
• The Russian shore
• An island close to Ireland
• A corporate structure in New York City

 

Players can design their levels using the Tomb Raider architecture and gameplay principles with the level editor included in the Windows edition.

 

 

Gameplay

 

• The game is presented from a third-person perspective, similar to previous Tomb Raider games, with a camera system that either move with Lara or is stationary, depending on the setting. Solving the riddles dispersed throughout the level is the key to moving forward. These puzzles may require you to pull various switches, overcome platforming obstacles, or locate essential items.

• Her new skills include being able to swing from horizontal poles, walk along the tightrope, and emerge from crawl spaces.

 

• She can search the room, including the cabinets, for things like med packs and mysteries. She has access to several gadgets, such as binoculars for viewing distant regions, a grapple gun for making ropes to swing on, and a crowbar for breaking locks in specific situations.

 

• Lara uses her equipped weapon, one of her signature pistols with infinite ammo, to fire at adversaries. Other weapons, like a sniper rifles, can be obtained at different levels. Earlier Tomb Raider games inspire the stories in Rome, the groups in Russia include an Extreme Depth Suit for exploration in an underwater area, the levels in Ireland depict a young Lara without access to weapons, and the stories in New York are stealth-focused and give Lara a limited amount of ammunition for her gun.
