The Darkness II is a challenging first-person shooter that offers a complex and compelling narrative of tragedy, contemporary crime drama, and supernatural terror. It was inspired by the well-known comic book series created by Top Cow Productions, Inc.

Players will follow Jackie Estacado's violent and intimate journey as he leads a New York crime family and wields The Darkness, an enduring and ruthless force of chaos and destruction.

Two years have passed since Jackie Estacado utilised The Darkness to slay the men accountable for the death of his girlfriend. Since storing his superhuman ability, he has been unable to get rid of the memories of Jenny's passing, and now The Darkness is ready to leave. The beginning of a major conflict and the reemergence of The Darkness usher in a surprise, unprovoked attack by a mysterious group known as the Brotherhood, sending Jackie on a voyage to hell and worse.
