In Painkiller: Overdose, the sinister Painkiller universe takes a new turn. The Game is still a fast-paced first-person shooter. Still, players take on the role of Belial, a half-demon, half-angel dealing with the fallout from Daniel Garner's victory against Lucifer rather than the series' protagonist. Eight new demonic weapons are available for players as they blast their way through 17 brand-new levels home to dozens of adorable monsters.

Giant enemies await players after each stage, but Belial has a chance thanks to new Tarot card abilities and attack combinations.

Gameplay

The tale is connected via a Prequel to the upcoming Sequel, which also ties up loose ends. In Overdose, a new character and plot are introduced, and they explore the effects of Daniel's victory over Lucifer in the first Painkiller. Sixteen additional degrees of painkilling action move quickly. The abilities of a demi-god are now available to all souls awaiting damnation, thanks to six new demonic weapons.
