Overview

Half-Life: Opposing Force is an FPS video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. It was initially released for PC and Mac in 1999 as an expansion pack for the critically acclaimed Half-Life game. The game takes place in the same fictional universe as the original Half-Life. It follows the story of Adrian Shephard, a member of the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit (HECU), sent to the Black Mesa Research Facility. Plot

The game begins with Adrian and his team of HECU soldiers being dropped off at the Black Mesa Research Facility for a routine security operation. As Adrian, players must navigate through the various areas of the Black Mesa Research Facility, fighting off hordes of aliens and uncovering the truth behind the HECU's mission and the Black Mesa incident. Along the way, players will encounter other characters, such as scientists and security personnel, who will provide valuable information and assistance in the fight against alien invaders.
