One year after the rebel insurrection in Takistan, as depicted in Arma 2: British Armed Forces, was successfully put to an end, the NATO Green Sea deployment is strategically withdrawing its combat soldiers from the area. The added workload is being carried by private military contractors as global organisations compete for lucrative security contracts. With the codename Black Gauntlet, a private military company, ION, Inc. (previously Black Element), won a contract to protect a UN investigation team as they tried to put together details on Takistan's abandoned nuclear weapons programme.
