The isometric top-down shooter video game Alien Shooter is set across nine advancing difficulty levels. Every level aims to simply eliminate all the aliens. The player has to explore all the areas the level offers to remove the alien threats.

Players can choose to play as a male or female character, and each character has five stats: strength, accuracy, health, flight, and speed. Male characters have better health, strength, and flying abilities, while female characters are faster and more accurate.

When defeated, alien opponents drop loot that includes cash, health, ammunition, and other stuff. Players can buy enhanced, more potent weaponry and permanent stat upgrades in the shop between stages.
