The authors of "The Book of Unwritten Tales" have written a fascinating criminal thriller in three parts called "The Raven - Legacy of a Master Thief" It's full of surprises and draws you into both sides of the narrative while fusing a thrill-of-the-chase whodunit with a heist novel's danger and potential rewards.
Paris, 1960. The Raven, a gentleman master thief, has captured Europe. He constantly escapes unhurt from his impressive burglaries. The public is shocked when young hotshot investigator Nicolas Legrand approaches the master thief and gravely wounds him.
1964 in London. A renowned "Eye of the Sphinx" ruby, dating back thousands of years, is stolen from the British Museum. A Raven feather was discovered at the crime scene. Is someone attempting to emulate the Raven's actions? – Legrand is once again investigating. A phone rings concurrently in Zurich. Officer Anton Jakob Zellner peers out from under a stack of papers. He is only a few hundred metres away from a bank vault, but he has no idea what is inside. His life takes an important turn just as he reaches for the receiver.
The three available chapters include the following:
- Chapter I: The Eye of the Sphinx
- Chapter II: Ancestry of Lies
- Chapter III: A Murder of Ravens
Gameplay
The gameplay includes aspects of espionage and stealth. Some cross-genre gameplay norms, like picking locks and obtaining key items, are present. Additionally, it has a point system that may be used to unlock new portions of the map and acts as a ranking system. Puzzle-solving is one of the game's key gameplay components.
Plot
The story, which takes place in 1964, is centred on a pair of rubies known as the Eyes of the Sphinx, one of which was taken by a masked assailant and the other of which the player's character must protect while being carried to an exhibition in Cairo, Egypt. In a departure from traditional detective genre tropes, you take on the role of middle-aged Swiss police constable Anton Jakob Zellner, a smart but inexperienced and unproven cop who manages to convince the reputable detective known as Nicolas Legrand enough to assist in his investigation. Despite his love of detective fiction, Zellner has no experience as a detective.
