Doctors Rosalene and Watts execute strange work: they offer patients a second shot at life from the beginning, but only inside their patients' thoughts. The new beginning becomes the final moment the patients recall before taking their last breaths because of how serious the procedure was. To accomplish what they wished, they had executed with their life but didn't the system only perform on persons close to death. The second complete episode of the To the Moon series is titled Finding Paradise. It follows Colin, the new patient of the physicians, as they work to sort out his conflicted existence and grant him a request that seems inherently contradictory.
The adventure Game Finding Paradise was created and released by Freebird Games. The narrative continues with physicians Eva Rosalene and Neil Watts as they assist in granting a wish for Colin Reeds, who is now an elderly bedridden man, in this successor to To the Moon and A Bird Story. Similar to To the Moon, it has a limited number of gameplay components centred on solving puzzles while commanding both physicians to recreate the ailing man's memories and grant his last request. Kan Gao, a Canadian independent Game creator, used the RPG Builder XP Game Engine to create the Game from start to finish. The Game's development started in 2015, and on December 14, 2017, it was made available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Gameplay
Finding Paradise's gameplay is comparable to To the Moon, the Game that started the series and used the RPG Maker XP Engine. It performs like a conventional RPG, just like the last Game, but there is no inventory management system, party system, or battle system. Since Colin's memories are the Game's primary focus, most gameplay entails solving puzzles to advance the narrative. This is accomplished through evaluating data, experiencing his sentiments, and figuring out how to delve further into his recollections to discover his want's reality. Similar to the Moon, the Game revolves around Colin searching through his memories for essential items and gathering power from them to enhance the memory and communicate to a more remote one, from his youth to the present. Players occasionally take a moment from the machine to search their home and the neighbourhood for specific clues.
Initial Spotlights
- A distinct, non-combat, narrative-focused experience.
- An innovative fusion of traditional RPG aesthetics with adventure Game components.
- Popular original music with a solid connection to the narrative.
- A coffee procedure with no time wasters or fillers.
