Gather the team

Create the best escape team with up to 3 companions to plan the wildest escapes ever! To get ready for your sly escapades, log on to the internet or gather everyone around a couch. You can make even more complex and audacious designs by cooperating.

Do you feel competitive? Enter the versus mode and demonstrate that you can escape any prison sooner than your pals can. If everything else fails, have a prison brawl to end your rivalry in the courtyard! 

Plan your escape creatively.

It's time to fully claim your prisoner. Select from a wide variety of customizations to make your character truly individual. When planning your escape, it's crucial to dress well.

Being incarcerated compels you to use your creativity and the few resources available. To create new weapons and equipment to help you accomplish your objective, you'll need to combine commonplace items like soap and socks. Create a poster out of magazines and duct tape using stolen forks from the cafeteria to create a tunnel in your room, then cover the evidence with it. You'll quickly discover that duct tape fixes (nearly) anything!

Be prepared to fight.

A completely new combat system is introduced in The Escapists 2 to make every prison brawl more interesting and engaging. To obtain the upper hand in the fight, you'll need to block and link chains of strikes while strafing past your locked-on targets. You grow those muscles; make sure to get to the gym first!

You will have to be more inventive with your escape schemes as prisons become increasingly difficult. There are numerous ways to attempt practically any prison break.

Build a clink

It's your chance to build a prison fit for the toughest inmates using the Prison Map Editor! There is no need for duct tape because it comes with all the chambers, fences, and guard dogs needed to construct a prison that is as challenging as your imagination can make.

You can gather these prison blueprints and build your designs through the Custom Prisons option on the main menu. When you're finished, you can share them with the world by downloading and subscribing to other architects' prisons on Steam Workshop. All custom maps can be played alone or in local and online multiplayer.
