2048: Berlin, The end of the world, is near. A lack of resources, diseases brought on by contaminated air and water, rising crime, and war. Governments and businesses promise solutions based on technical development. Humanoid robots and drones replace human workers in the public sector. Everything is networked, and surveillance is pervasive.

One of the few journalists openly condemning this development is Richard Nolan. Richard discovers that he and his family have become more than simply bystanders in a storm of competing notions about humankind's rescue between dismal reality and digital utopia when he awakens in the hospital following an explosion and discovers that his wife and son have suddenly vanished. Instead, they find out that they are in the middle.

This domestic drama turns into a thriller about a global plot that has as its central concern the future of humanity: Could the solution be a perfect digital utopia? Is a fictitious paradise unaffected by the wants and conflicts of the world? Would a super-AI declare humankind unnecessary if it couldn't be taught the importance of philanthropy, or could it be our saviour?

After this storm, how will the globe look and how much of humanity will be left?

Gameplay
