Produkt beskrivelse

Lucidity (Europe) (PC) - Steam - Digital Key

Lucidity is a puzzle platformer video Game developed by LucasArts and published by LucasArts, Lucasfilm, and Disney for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Live Arcade. The Game was released on October 7, 2009, and was praised for its unique gameplay mechanics and artistic style.

The Video Game is set in a dreamlike world where the player controls a young girl named Sofi, attempting to find her way home. The action is unique because the player does not directly control Sofi but places various objects in her path to guide her through the levels. It is presented in a 2D side-scrolling format and features hand-drawn artwork and a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack.

Gameplay:

Lucidity requires the player to strategically place objects in Sofi's path to guide her to the end of each Level. The items available to the player include boxes, springs, and platforms. The player must carefully consider the placement of each object, as Sofi will automatically move forward and cannot be controlled directly.

The Game is divided into thirteen levels, each with unique challenges and obstacles. As the player progresses through the play, the levels become increasingly complex, requiring more precise placement of objects to navigate through them.

The story :

Lucidity follows Sofi, a young girl lost in a dreamlike world. She is guided through her journey by the ghost of her grandmother, who encourages her to keep moving forward. Along the way, Sofi encounters various creatures and characters, including a giant caterpillar and a group of fireflies.

As Sofi travels through the dream world, she collects memories in the form of photographs. These memories provide insight into Sofi's past and her relationship with her grandmother. As the Game progresses, the memories become more emotional and poignant, culminating in a touching finale that ties the Game's story together.

Lucidity was well received upon its release, with critics praising its unique gameplay mechanics and artistic style. The haunting soundtrack and emotionally charged storyline were highlighted as significant strengths.

Key highlights :

  • Unique gameplay mechanics require the player to think strategically and creatively to guide Sofi through each Level.
  • Beautiful hand-drawn artwork and a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack perfectly complement the Game's dreamlike atmosphere.
  • An emotionally charged storyline that explores themes of loss, love, and the power of memories.
  • Thirteen levels of increasing difficulty provide a satisfying challenge for players of all skill levels.

Its unique mechanics and artistic style make it a standout title in the puzzle-platformer genre, and its poignant storyline will resonate with players long after completing the Game.
