• The GameGame includes the Shenron System, which enables players to collect the Dragon Balls once as the battle continues. A player who completes a light auto combo successfully will receive a random Dragon Ball.
• By completing a multi-hit combo successfully, the players can earn a sure Dragon Ball; the number of hits determines which ball is awarded. When all seven are in place, and a player executes a light auto combo with maximum Ki, Shenron appears and grants a wish, allowing players to select one of the following advantages: give the fighter a second Sparkling Blast, revive a fallen ally, restore health to the soldier, or regenerate health for the duration of the fight.
• The gameplay draws ideas from a variety of famous fighting games. Players each choose three to make up their teams from a starting cast of characters from the Dragon Ball franchise. The players can transfer control of one character at any time with another.
• Another feature is the Dramatic Moments, unique cutscenes related to Dragon Ball series events that appear at the beginning and end of a fight, depending on the characters and stage. These can be used following the Standing Hard normal attack or Vanish as the finisher/combo ender.
• Additionally, players can command one of their other characters to execute an "Assist" move, enabling team attacks and combos simultaneously. To win the GameGame, a player must eliminate all three members of the same team. If neither team is victorious before the allotted time expires, the team with the most overall damage loses.
