Deponia is a point-and-click adventure Game developed and released by Daedalic Entertainment in 2012.

Players assume the role of a character who must work out several riddles, as with most graphic adventure games. In the Game, objects can be moved around, picked up to help players overcome barriers, or combined with other items in the inventory to create brand-new tools. The player occasionally runs into others in the Game. The Game's main interface uses a straightforward mouse-based system in which the player left-clicks an object or person to use or interact with it and right-clicks it to examine it. The player can also access a hint system that indicates interactive elements by pressing and holding down the mouse's middle button.

In Deponia, where the gruff Rufus makes a pitiful living, the world has degenerated into a vast garbage dump. He is destined to live his life amidst real mountains of trash since he belongs to the lowest social Level. He longs for a chance to enter the wealthy community, who reside in a floating city perched above the skies. When the attractive Goal from the higher sector falls into one of the rubbish heaps one day, fate appears to be smiling on the snooty good-for-nothing. Rufus decides to assist the young woman by returning her to her spouse. He devises a cunning plan to enter the higher world after seeing that Goal's husband looks exactly like him. He has feelings for beauty, which restrains his regular sleaze, so things don't exactly go as planned.

The Game's distinctive features include specific puzzles that the player can bypass if unable to complete. A tutorial phase at the beginning and a different, amusing option available after winning the Game that, when used, changes all spoken dialogue to just "Droggeljug."

Aid Rufus in his Quest to woo the celestial girl by lending a hand. The only way he might be able to leave Deponia and save the world is with this wealthy girl from his dreams.
