SS Tier Units
Check out all the Re Rangers X units in this tier:

One Arm Pirate (Emperor)
The Secret evolution of One Arm Pirate added in Update 3. His stats are high across the board, and every critical hit fires off his ability, so a high crit build lets him spam it nonstop. Core use: main DPS carry for bosses and endgame stages. The catch is costly upgrades and evolution materials that take real grinding.

Esper Kid (???%)
Secret evolution from Update 2.5. His ability goes off whenever enemies walk into his range, and he gains damage and range every time an ally dies near him. Core use: scaling carry for long and tough stages. He also damages nearby allies, so he works best with Claw Boss (Bloodlust) and Raiga (Mentor) feeding his ramp.

Hawk Swordsman (Hunter)
Mythic evolution from Update 3 with huge damage and crit stats, plus enough HP to survive most modes. Crits on his ability deal bonus damage. Core use: all mode DPS that can solo a lot of content once geared. His basic attacks deal no damage, so he needs top gear and traits to keep pace with the other meta picks.

Explosion Girl (Mage)
An Easter Hunt exclusive with massive ability damage that grows with every basic attack, plus some of the longest range of any DPS unit. Core use: long range ability nuker. She is among the most expensive units to place and upgrade, and since she came from a limited event, she is only an option if you already own her or the event returns.

Hero (Banshoman)
The Ranger rarity unit from Update 2, released on the limited Sol Token banner. He has elemental advantage against every enemy and can stop allies from taking a lethal hit, all while dealing top tier damage. Core use: best support in the game who also doubles as a main DPS. He is hard to obtain, but he fits into almost any team.

Curse King (Shrine)
Secret unit from the Calamity mode in Update 1. His basic attacks hit harder than almost anyone else’s, and he stacks Bleed that makes enemies take more damage. Core use: boss killer. His ability damage is modest for a meta unit and his upgrades are expensive, so he is more of a late game investment.

Claw Boss (Bloodlust)
The final form of the Claw Boss line from Update 2.5. His passives keep stacking his ability damage, and his HP, range, and damage are all high. Core use: ability DPS and the best partner for Esper Kid (???%). He constantly damages allies, which helps Esper Kid but can backfire in teams without him.

Strongest Man (Gura)
Secret unit from Update 3, earned through the Invasion mode. He has one of the highest ability damage values in the game and gets a big stat boost when a round starts. Core use: burst damage for short stages and bosses. That boost slowly fades, so he loses steam in long fights.

The Prodigy (Manifestation)
Secret evolution from Update 4.5. He gains Energy as he lands and takes hits, which pushes all his stats higher, and his ultimate copies the passives of the unit in your fourth slot. At max Energy, he also summons a powerful ally. Core use: flex carry that borrows another unit’s strengths. He is only truly broken when your fourth slot holds a unit worth copying.

Thorn Queen (Silent)
Easter exclusive who applies Bleed and buffs her own damage and survivability. She has very high speed and some of the best damage against a single target. Core use: single target Bleed DPS for bosses. Her strongest buffs take about 30 seconds to switch on, and she was nerfed in Update 4.5, so keeping her alive is the whole game plan.

Bunny (Full Moon)
Easter exclusive that stacks damage while hitting the same enemy and stuns anything she dodges. Her HP and tank passive keep her standing far longer than most damage dealers. Core use: tanky secondary DPS. Short range hurts her against bosses, and she was nerfed alongside Thorn Queen, but few units still pull double duty this well.

Sorcerer Assassin (Inventory)
Mythic banner unit from Update 1. He stays invulnerable until he hits an enemy, and he has very high speed and HP. Core use: main tank for every mode. He needs full upgrades and solid gear to hit his peak.

Blood Queen
Mythic unit from Update 2.5 who freezes mobs and slows bosses, while her ultimate freezes every enemy on the map, bosses included. Core use: crowd control support. Low HP and short range mean she needs a reliable tank standing in front of her.
S-Tier Units
Check out all the Re Rangers X units in this tier:
Sky Shaper (Breaker)
Mythic Colony Rush unit from Update 4.5 with one of the biggest HP pools in the game. She reflects incoming attacks and fires her ability every second reflect, so she deals real damage while tanking. Core use: damage reflecting frontline tank. Run her as your only tank, because she loses her value when other tanks soak the hits instead.
Jane Bullet (Blast)
Mythic Colony Rush unit whose ability cooldown shrinks the farther he stands from enemies, while his ability damage grows the longer he holds it. His ultimate stuns him but massively boosts his damage until his next cast. Core use: high ceiling ability DPS. Low HP, low speed, and a bit of micromanagement keep him out of SS tier.

Holy Rider (Trap)
Easter exclusive with passives that pile on crit rate and crit damage, and he stuns enemies too. With his cooldown pushed low enough, he trades blows with most Secret units. Core use: crit and stun DPS. He leans heavily on gear and traits, and his damage drops sharply once his passive ends unless he dies and gets sent out again.

Shadow Summoner (Ritual)
Mythic Colony Rush unit that calls in minions to deal damage and absorb hits, on top of strong attack and ability damage. Core use: hybrid tank and DPS on a budget. His ultimate spawns even stronger summons, but it rarely triggers in practice.
The Strongest (Void)
Secret unit from the Update 1 Raid. He ignores stuns and slows, survives one fatal hit per life, gains range and damage every time he uses his ability, and his ultimate stuns every enemy on the map. Core use: late game DPS with a map wide stun. He is one of the priciest units to upgrade and one of the slowest movers.

Silver Reaper (OWL)
Secret unit reworked in Update 1, with long range, high damage, and a stun on his ability. He deals extra damage to bosses and shrugs off his first knockdown each life. Core use: boss DPS with crowd control. Upgrades are costly, and scaling units pass him in longer stages.

The Fool (Star Ring)
Secret unit from Update 2 that gains crit chance and crit damage with every hit and pulls extra damage from allies. Core use: basic attack DPS. His ability is weak, and his passive stacks slowly without enough attack speed.

Trash Collector (Cleaner)
Mythic unit from Update 4.75, earned from Ranger Stage III in Trash Ground. He has good range and deals bonus damage when allies die in his range. Core use: gear scaling DPS with the Seraph trait, which doubles the bonuses from his equipped gear. Long cooldowns hold him back without the right trait and gear.

Crimson Owl
A Secret unit without an evolution that reflects ability damage back at enemies and slows them by 25%. It also survives one death per life and hits nearby enemies when that triggers. Core use: utility DPS for boss stages. It lacks strong scaling passives, so newer meta units pull ahead late.

Magma Admiral (Magu)
Mythic unit from Update 3 that burns every enemy in his range and makes them take extra Fire damage. Core use: Fire team enabler. He is easy to get and evolve, but his damage ceiling sits below rarer DPS units.

Virtual Swordsman (Stardust)
One of the easiest Secret units to get and evolve, and his passive keeps stacking damage the longer a stage runs. Core use: long stage scaler. He feels weak in short stages, costs a lot to place, and his long send cooldown punishes early deaths. Pair him with Virtual Swordswoman for extra buffs.
Waka (Destruction King)
Mythic unit from Update 2 whose attacks apply Burn, and he gains permanent damage each time his Burn stacks expire. Core use: Burn stacking DPS. He needs longer stages to ramp and works best next to Berns (Truth) and other Burn units.
Joka (Truth)
Mythic unit from Update 2 that applies Burn and Black Flames with basic attacks. His passive gets especially nasty against single high HP enemies. Core use: single target Burn DPS for bosses. His scaling is limited, so he fades in late game content.

Yoka (Stardust)
Secret unit from the Update 1 Ranger Stage. It builds Mass stacks for extra damage and turns invulnerable at max stacks, with great speed and HP. Core use: boss tank. A spawn limit of one makes it a weak meatshield against mobs, so Capitalist or Duplicator traits help a lot.

Radio Girl (Evangelized)
Mythic unit from Update 2 that reflects enemy attacks, takes reduced damage, and boosts the damage and range of nearby allies. Core use: meta buffer for every mode. Most of her buffs trigger when allies die, so pair her with cheap meatshields and budget for pricey upgrades.
The Prodigy (Love)
Mythic Raid unit from Update 1 with good damage, range, and speed, plus a fairly easy route to obtain him. Core use: early and mid game DPS. He falls off once you reach late game content.
A-Tier Units
Check out all the Re Rangers X units in this tier:

Cursed Lawyer (Confiscation)
Mythic Colony Rush unit that deals damage based on enemy HP, lowers enemy damage, and raises their ability cooldowns. Core use: debuffer against bosses with dangerous abilities. He brings little against enemies without abilities, and his own damage is average.

Solar Fist
Always lands critical hits on bosses and buffs the range and damage of other Z fighter units, backed by one of the best ultimates among Mythic units. Core use: boss crit specialist for Z fighter teams. He loses value on stages without bosses, and Secret DPS units outclass him later.

Black Mask (Scorpion)
Evolved Black Mask with strong base stats for a Mythic that gains damage whenever it is attacked. Core use: early game DPS alongside Black Reaper. Upgrade costs climb fast while the gains shrink.
Black Reaper
Easy to get and decent without evolving, he buffs any Black Mask unit on the field. Core use: beginner support for Black Mask teams. His damage is too low for difficult content.

Fire Fist (Mera)
The Mythic evolution of Fire Fist, a common pull from the Standard banner. He applies Burn, gains buffs with Fire allies nearby, and deals extra Burn damage when Strongest Man dies on the field. Core use: budget Fire DPS. Low range and fragile HP make him drop off in harder difficulties.
Berns (Truth)
Mythic unit from Update 2 that applies Burn, always crits burning enemies, and hits harder as his own HP drops. Core use: crit DPS for Burn teams. He ramps slowly on his own and needs specific teammates, so he is tricky for beginners.

Stitchblade (Reaper)
Applies Bleed with solid basic attack and ability damage, and his upgrades are cheap for a Mythic DPS. Core use: affordable early to mid game DPS. No passive carries him into the endgame.

Eclipse Sorcerer
Gains damage with every takedown and costs little to place and upgrade. Core use: beginner DPS for Story progression. Low max stats and weak performance on stages with few enemies limit him later.

Bunny Girl (Lover)
Easter exclusive tank with a strong dodge passive. She gains Evasion each time she is sent back to spawn and raises the Evasion of all allies. Core use: evasion tank for boss fights. Her passives need time to ramp, and her damage is low.
Virtual Swordswoman
A pure support that boosts ally damage and ability damage when she dies, with extra buffs for Virtual Swordsman. Core use: death trigger buffer. Stronger supports take over once your roster is maxed.
Teriyaki (Awakened)
Mythic tank support from Update 2.5 who gains bonus HP, heals nearby allies when he dies, and speeds up allies in range. Core use: sustain support for tanky teams. His high range makes him slow to die and trigger those passives, and his damage is minimal.

Muki (Clan Killer)
Mythic Colony Rush unit that executes allies in range for +20% damage each and deals bonus damage to Tank, Infernal, and Archer enemies. Core use: early game solo carry. Killing your own team turns into a liability in harder stages.
Ensign (Charmer)
Mythic unit from Update 4.75, earned from Act 3 of the Trash Ground Raid. He has solid stats and can play tank or support depending on the slot he is deployed in. Core use: flexible slot filler. His passives are not strong enough to replace dedicated meta tanks or supports.
Ripper (Reaper)
Mythic unit from Update 4.75 with respectable damage. She stuns low HP enemies and applies Bleed to enemies above half HP. Core use: Bleed and stun DPS. Most newer Mythic DPS units outdamage her.
B-Tier Units
Check out all the Re Rangers X units in this tier:

Legendary Saiyan (Super)
High HP, strong ability damage, three placements, and +1% range per attack up to +20%. Core use: early game DPS and tank hybrid. His evolution barely lifts his endgame value, and he is pricey to place.

Fat Shadow
Gains speed and lower cooldowns every time he spawns, with decent damage and ability DPS. Core use: early melee DPS. Short range leaves him exposed to long range enemies.

Pink Sniper
Mythic unit from Update 2.5 who gets 25% bigger gear bonuses, gains crit from her accuracy, and applies Bleed. Core use: gear heavy DPS. Expensive placement and a low damage ceiling hold her back.

Light Admiral (Pika)
Mythic evolution of Light Admiral using the Pika Fruit. He deals double damage to fast enemies but ignores slow ones entirely. Core use: anti rusher specialist. That targeting quirk makes him very niche.

Knight King (Chaos)
Low range, high speed, and a shorter send cooldown than most tanks make him a natural frontliner, and his damage lets him solo early stages. Core use: early game tank. Top tier tanks do the same job better for less.

Killer
Ten placements, high speed, and low range make him the best cheap meatshield among low rarity units. Core use: disposable meatshield. His damage is close to zero.
Red Eye
Mythic tank from Update 2.5 whose crits apply Curse. He lowers enemy Evasion and grows stronger when allies die nearby. Core use: tank that helps teammates land their hits. He is expensive for a tank and light on damage.

Crimson Heiress (Devil)
Easter exclusive that spawns alongside your slot 2 unit, copies its stats, buffs it, and follows up on its attacks. She cannot take Traits. Core use: power boost for a thin roster. She falls off once you own several strong DPS units.
Empress (Love)
Mythic unit from Update 3 that lowers enemy accuracy, raises their cooldowns, and stuns enemies, bosses included. Core use: budget debuff support. Her damage is weak, so she is on the team purely for the debuffs.
C-Tier Units
Check out all the Re Rangers X units in this tier:

Molten Phantom
Good damage and HP for new players, and his ability slows bosses.
Core use: beginner boss slower. Pricey placement and no evolution make him useless later.

Killer Candy
Applies Bleed with decent stats.
Core use: early filler DPS. No evolution and weak damage for a Mythic.

Crow Ninja
Burns enemies with his ability.
Core use: early Story mode DPS. One spawn, a 2,000 Yen placement cost, and no evolution.

Umbrella Fang
Makes enemies take 10% more damage from your team.
Core use: early damage amplifier. Every real support outclasses it later.
Fortune Sorcerer (Jackpot)
Mythic banner unit from Update 1 with passives that roll random buffs.
Core use: high risk RNG DPS. Good luck can clutch a stage, bad luck can lose it.
Hero’s Angel (Chrono)
Gains stats while taking damage and stuns burning enemies.
Core use: stun support for Burn teams. Nearly useless without a Burn stacker.

Raiga (Mentor)
Mythic unit from Update 2.5 that generates Yen, can stun enemies, and gives Esper Kid 50 Rage when he dies.
Core use: economy support for Esper Kid teams. Loses value once your stats are maxed or when Esper Kid is not on the team.

Sand Ninja
The highest base speed in the game, low range, and a good spawn limit.
Core use: early meatshield. Better tanks replace him quickly.

Leaf Ninja (Sage)
Very fast, short range, and a short send cooldown, with added Evasion on top.
Core use: early meatshield. Falls flat in late game content.

Easter Bunny
Works with Bunny 1, 2, and 3 to spawn meatshields and buff allies.
Core use: anchor for a full Bunny team. Weak on its own.

Bunny 1
Boosts item drop rates for every Bunny on the team.
Core use: item farming with a full Bunny team. Useless outside that setup.
D-Tier Units
Check out all the Re Rangers X units in this tier:
Bunny 2 and Bunny 3
Boost ally damage and ultimate damage, but both are terrible without the rest of the Bunnies.
Core use: filler for a full Bunny farming team.

Voidmask
Can execute low HP enemies, but costs a fortune to place and upgrade and has no evolution.
Core use: none worth the Yen. Arguably the weakest Mythic DPS in the game.
Stitchblade
One of the weakest Legendary units in its base form.
Core use: evolution base for Stitchblade (Reaper).
Light Admiral
Poor stats all around in base form.
Core use: evolution base for Light Admiral (Pika).

Pirate
Excellent range, but every other stat is low.
Core use: temporary filler only.
Iron Inquisitor
Solid HP with very little damage.
Core use: emergency meatshield before you pull anything better.

| Time Wizard (Time King) | Mythic | Update 6 | Summon Banner |
| Void Captain (Equinox) | Mythic | Update 6 | Summon Banner |

| Shadow Requiem | Mythic | Update 5 | Anniversary Banner (event) |
| Nameless (Deity) | Mythic | Update 5 | Anniversary Banner (event) |
| Streamer (Angel) | Mythic | Update 5 | Anniversary Banner (event) |
A few of these already show clear strengths:
- The First Sunbringer (Hinokami): Every basic attack triggers 15 rapid follow up hits that can apply Burn. Core use: Burn damage through sheer volume of hits. His evolution item, the Blade of Sun, comes from the Merchant.
- Reader (Omniscient): Immune to enemy Stun and Slow, with an ultimate you can fire once per life. Core use: crit damage stacker that cannot be locked down. He needs double XP for every level, so plan for a long leveling grind.
- The Misfit (Demon King): His attacks can hurt allies, and every ally he hits powers him up and spreads Erasure, a damage over time debuff, across nearby enemies. Core use: self fueling DoT carry. Keep cheap meatshields around him so he has something to feed on.
How We Ranked Units in This Re Rangers X Tier List?
Every placement in this Anime Rangers X tier list comes from cross checking community rankings, official patch notes, and each unit’s passives. Here is what mattered most:
- Damage output: Attack and ability damage, crit stats, and cooldowns decide how fast a unit clears waves and melts bosses.
- Spawn limit and send cooldown: Units spawn at your base and rush into the fight, so these two stats shape both damage and tanking.
- Spawn and upgrade costs: Cheap units matter early, while expensive ones can stall a run before your player stats are maxed.
- Passives and ultimates: A single broken passive can lift an average stat line straight into the meta.
- Role value: Tanks, supports, and debuffers are judged on how much they help the rest of the team, not just on raw damage.
Units from the Anniversary update onward have their own section further down, marked TBA until their performance is verified across modes. Some of those newer Secret units may end up above parts of the current SS tier.

Best Re Rangers X Team Comps
Stacking five strong units is not enough in Re Rangers X. Synergy decides how far a team actually goes, so here are the cores that make the most sense with the current roster.
Endgame Boss Team
- Main DPS: One Arm Pirate (Emperor)
- Second DPS: Curse King (Shrine)
- Support: Hero: Banshoman
- Crowd control: Empire’s Queen
- Tank: Sorcerer Assassin (Inventory)
Banshoman’s lethal hit protection and the Queen’s freezes buy your two damage dealers all the time they need to shred a boss.
Esper Kid Team
- Carry: Esper Kid (???%)
- Enabler: Claw Boss (Bloodlust)
- Economy and Rage: Raiga (Mentor)
- Buffer: Radio Girl (Evangelized)
- Meatshield: Killer
This team is built around allies dying on purpose. Claw Boss chips away at your own units, Raiga hands Esper Kid Rage when he falls, and every Killer that drops powers up both Esper Kid and Radio Girl.
Burn Team
- Core: Magma Admiral (Magu)
- DPS: Waka (Destruction King), Berns (Truth), Joka (Truth)
- Support: Hero’s Angel (Chrono)
- Budget swap: Fire Fist (Mera)
Magma Admiral burns everything and boosts Fire damage, Berns crits every burning target, Waka grows stronger as stacks expire, and Hero’s Angel stuns anything that is on fire.
Beginner Team
- Tank: Killer or Sand Ninja
- DPS: Black Mask (Scorpion) and Eclipse Sorcerer
- Support: Black Reaper and Umbrella Fang
- Story pusher: Muki (Clan Killer)
This team clears most early Story stages without any lucky pulls. Swap Muki out as soon as you have a real DPS, because her ally executions start costing you runs later. Before you start summoning, stock up on free Gems and Trait Rerolls from our Anime Rangers X codes list.
Best Traits for Re Rangers X Units
Traits add permanent bonuses to a unit, and the right one can push an A tier pick into meta territory. Here is where each top trait fits best.
| Trait | Best For | Example Units |
| Sovereign | Main DPS units | One Arm Pirate (Emperor), Curse King (Shrine), Jane Bullet (Blast) |
| Capitalist | Tanks, supports, and expensive units | Sorcerer Assassin (Inventory), Radio Girl (Evangelized), Yoka (Stardust) |
| Duplicator | Tanks and units with low spawn limits | Yoka (Stardust), Killer, Sand Ninja |
| Seraph | Gear heavy units | Trash Collector (Cleaner) |
How to Get New Units in Re Rangers X?
Almost every strong unit comes from a specific mode, so knowing where to farm saves you hours of blind grinding.
- Summon Banners: Spend Gems on the standard and Rate Up banners. The Rate Up banner has a pity system that guarantees a Secret unit after 5,000 summons.
- Ranger Stages: Home to units like Yoka, Trash Collector, Yonu, and Water Goddess.
- Raids: Drop units such as The Strongest, The Prodigy, and Ensign.
- Calamity: The only route to Curse King.
- Invasion: Where you earn Strongest Man.
- Colony Rush: Rewards Sky Shaper, Jane Bullet, Shadow Summoner, Muki, and Cursed Lawyer.
- Boss Events and limited events: Source of event units like Monkey King and the Easter roster.
Once you own a unit, talk to the Hollow NPC in the Upgrade zone to check its evolution requirements. Limit Breaks with Dr. Megga Punk push a unit’s max level higher, which matters a lot for endgame DPS. The easiest free boost is still redeeming the latest Re Rangers X codes for Gems, Gold, and Trait Rerolls.
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
