Try out Praetorians today!
The plot of Praetorians takes place amongst the political intrigue of a rising Roman Empire. In the quest to become Emperor, establish your worth on the battlefields of Egypt, the battlegrounds of Gaul, and finally, the heart of the Empire itself in Italy.
The Praetorian Guard, the most potent and lethal fighting force in the Empire, will be in your face the closer you approach the Emperor.
You must master unit coordination and enemy weakness exploitation to prevail.
It won't be simple for you to complete your mission because the Empire is fiercely guarded by tens of thousands of different soldier kinds and war machines, each with unique abilities and strengths.
The Key Features of Praetorians include:
- Three game modes are available in Praetorians: multiplayer, campaign, and skirmish.
- Troop control points similarly limit the number of troops a player may have in their army. Unit control points also determine the number of individual soldiers and army men that can be used.
- Earning honour involves engaging in combat with and eliminating opposing forces.
- In typical real-time strategy games, resources like wood, food, gold, stone, and glory must be gathered and then used to build up forces; in Praetorians, the only thing you need is honour points to hire more brutal soldiers.
- The lack of resource use in Praetorians sets it apart from other games in its genre.
- Through a messaging line, team members can communicate with one another in an emergency by saying, "We need aid." Allies typically provide more soldiers as needed.
- While it is still possible to assault an ally's building or village, members of an alliance are not permitted to attack one another.
- Grassy terrain can catch fire, and troops who cross it risk death.
- Heavy infantry units cannot cross watery terrain unless it is where a wooden bridge may be erected.
- The game features a variety of terrain types. Infantry units can be concealed in forests, and ambushes can be set up against troops in plain sight.
- Each civilization has a distinct unit pool with units that have various advantages, prowess, and weaknesses.
- While some unit types are merely given different skins for each civilization, the variation in troops allows players to employ various strategies based on their playing culture.
