Here, you play as Jan Dolski, who survived a deadly plane crash, but his crew did not. Your only chance of survival is to create ‘the alters,’ or alternatives/variants of yourself, each with unique skills and memories.
Confronting the consequences of their past, players’ only mission is to survive and manage themselves. Alongside maintaining the base, players must make timely crucial decisions and build relationships with their alters. It’s a high-stakes puzzle.
You also need to look out for signs of Rapidium, a rare element that only forms in triple binary star systems. The strange and chaotic way these three stars orbit each other creates the perfect conditions for Rapidium crystals to appear. Players can mine these crystals, which are extremely valuable due to their powerful and unique uses.
The Alters Release Date and Platforms
The Alters has been delayed twice. It was originally meant to be released in 2024 and then in the first quarter of 2025. But now the time has come, we are finally getting The Alters on 13 June 2025, almost exactly one year after the release of its demo.
