According to Wholesome Direct, it is “a vibrant lineup of artistic, uplifting, and emotionally resonant games from developers of all sizes from around the world!” Let’s find out more about it.
Wholesome Direct 2025
Wholesome Direct will be part of Summer Game Fest 2025, and fans can’t wait for it to begin! Scheduled for Saturday, 7 June, it premieres live at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 6 pm CET on 20+ streaming services, including YouTube and Twitch. The Wholesome Direct will showcase 60 heartfelt games, with world premieres, demo announcements, and other surprises from indie developers and publishers from all over the world. All the showcased games promise to be “artistic, uplifting, and emotionally resonant.”
The Wholesome team received 1500 game submissions from indie publishers this year, and they selected the best 60 out of them. Wholesome Direct 2025 will include studios like Playstack, btf Games, ustwo games, Wētā Workshop, and Electric Saint. There will also be updates on Is This Seat Taken? and MakeRoom, along with a new partnership that hasn’t been announced yet. Furthermore, the funds collected from Wholesome Direct merchandise sales will go to the charity Point of Pride, which supports trans people and helps them get good care.
Summer Game Fest 2025
Fans are already excited for the Summer Game Fest that starts on 6 June and runs until 9 June. Geoff Keighley, who created and also hosts The Game Awards, returns to host Summer Game Fest 2025 at the YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles. Games from different genres, including action and adventure games, along with trailers, might be revealed at the fest, and we are so excited for all the surprises. The entire video game industry is counting days for the fest to begin!
