Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 Community Update

Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 has been a huge hit with fans and critics alike, with the game topping Steam charts and turning into 2024’s most beloved titles. Saber Interactive, the developers behind the game, has now come out with a new community update for the game, plus a rundown of its year-one roadmap. In a recent post, the studio has tasted their disdain for toxic community behavior and warned players not to be toxic to other players. Let’s take a more in-depth look at the new Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 Community Update.

A Thank You Note

Saber Interactive has thanked the fans of the game for supporting and buying their latest entry into the Warhammer 40K Universe. Space Marine 2 was released on September 9th to huge sales numbers for the series, breaking the record for the original Space Marine title by quite a big margin. Saber thanked the fans for their patience and enthusiasm in showing support for their creation.

Curbing Toxic Behaviour

In Addition, Saber’s main focus through their community post was their firm stance on tolerating toxic behavior in Space Marine 2’s PvP and multiplayer. The dev hints that the players should be friendly with other players, including the actor Henry Cavil. The actor is a big Warhammer 40K fan, and being a PC, he had to hide his Gamertag in order to hide his identity online.

Adding a humorous note, Saber informed the fans to be polite to other players, as they might encounter Henry Cavil in the game without even realizing it.

New Map and Hotfixes

Fans of the game will be delighted to know that a new PvE map is lined up for the month of October, taking place on the planet of Kadaku against one final attempt to take down the giant Tyranid structures before the planet is completely taken over. Space Marines will join hands with the Cadian troops in this final onslaught before the planet succumbs to darkness.

Bugs & Hotfixes

The Developers are also working on fixing the multiple server and matchmaking issues, along with other minor bugs, to polish the game even further. These new hotfixes will be arriving soon for Space Marine 2 and will set the stage for the Year One road map for the game and its first big DLC. The new patch will be fixing:

  • Private Mode for Operations
  • The Hub Sparring Arena
  • Ultrawide support (for PC)
  • Improved spawns in multiplayer
  • Rebalancing of various enemies you encounter in Campaign and Operations mode
  • Correction of bugs that prevented players from progressing through certain levels

The Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 Community Update will be a recurring theme every month, with this month Saber Interactive vowing to fix the multiple issues plaguing the smooth player experience and curb the toxic community behavior.
