Unexpected Update for Spiderman 2 on PlayStation 5

Insomniac Games dropped an unannounced update for their highly acclaimed title Marvel’s Spiderman 2 for the PlayStation 5; with the one-year anniversary of Spider-Man 2’s release coming up, patches for the game have expectedly slowed down, with the last patch being in June. Insomniac games have tweaked a few fixes here and there, including fixes to the suits in-game.

New Patch Notes

The latest Update, version 1.003.001 for Marvel’s Spiderman 2 is tiny compared to other patches before with it bringing very minute changes to the Spiderman experience on the PlayStation 5. The patch primarily aims to fix the issues with the Spider logo on two suits in the game, the Last Stand Suit and the Webbed Suit. Insomniac has also made alterations to the look of The Amazing Spiderman 2 movie suit, and the alterations came after feedback from the fans. Outside these few changes, some extra tweaks and fixes for various crashes and stability have also been added to the game.

While the update seems to be last for Spiderman 2 it is too early to call of any possibilities of any new updates or DLCs for Spiderman 2 and how much more Insomniac will look to support Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Based on leaks from the developers, it seems Insomniac is prioritizing their entire efforts on completely new games and IPs, including the beloved Marvel’s Wolverine game. Fans are eagerly awaiting any new news or rumours surrounding new Insomniac games as their handling for the Spiderman franchise has been a hit with fans of the character and gamers alike, with Spiderman 2 along with its predecessor Spiderman and the spin-off Miles Morales being huge hits for Sony and Insomniac Games.
