Black Ops 6 Overview
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will feature the adrenaline-pumping Multiplayer mode alongside a single-player campaign that continues the story after the events of Call of Duty: Cold War, focusing on Adler in an alternate 1990s timeline. The fan-favorite Zombies mode is also making a comeback, complete with new features and mechanics that will significantly change how players experience this iconic survival mode.
New Proximity Voice Chat Feature
Ahead of the early access open beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Treyarch announced that using the body shield in the game would trigger a proximity voice chat feature between the attacker and their target. The developer kindly asked the community to “be nice” when unveiling the unique feature in their recent Twitter post. However, one user humorously predicted that it would lead to mass voice chat bans, while another suggested that this mechanic could become a gold mine for content creators.
Call of Duty lobbies are infamous for their chats and epic trolling between the players in game this has led to massive ban waves for toxicity amongst players in a competitive playground but developers and publishers have taken steps to curb toxic behavior. Between August 2023 and January 2024, over two million players were banned from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for toxicity. Players engaging in unacceptable conduct risk being placed in the limited matchmaking system of the Call of Duty series.
