The Witcher 4 Officially Enters Full-Scale Production Confirmed by CD Projekt Red

Known internally as Project Polaris, The Witcher 4 will mark a new dawn in the Witcher series and serve as the starting game for the next planned trilogy with two follow-up games under production at the moment. Game Engine: The Witcher 4 will be the first entry in the series to utilize the power of Unreal Engine 5, marking a shift from the in-house RED engine of CD Projekt Red. The new engine aims to enhance the Open-world experience and add many new features to the game previously not possible. 

Release Date: In the 2022 investors call CDPR stated the game is at least 3 years away and with the game now confirmed in full-scale production, fans can expect the next entry in the Witcher series to be released in 2026 or later with teasers and trailers in 2025. 

Platforms: It is safe to say The Witcher 4, given the timeline can be expected to be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game likely will be one of the most demanding game on the time of its release and will be a visual masterpiece.
