The New Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Update adds a brand new chronological game mode to the game. Allowing players to experience the story of Ellie and Abby in chronological order. This has excited many fans of the game, as Season 2 of The Last of Us just ended over a month ago, funneling more attention to the game series.

The Last of Us Part 2 Chronological Mode
The second Last of Us Game followed a nonlinear narrative throughout its story and missions. The player experienced both ends of the story from Ellie’s and Abby’s perspectives, with flashbacks and time skips weaving the story together. Now, with the new Last of Us Part 2 Chronological Game Mode, players will be able to play the entirety of its story in a sequential manner.
The Chronological Mode will also add new skins to No Return Game Mode, with new skins for both Joel and Tommy. Inspired by Uncharted’s Drake brothers, Nathan Drake and Samuel Drake. Along with new achievements for The Last of Us Part 2, No Return Mode.

It is to note, that during the reveal, there was only mention of the update coming to the The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered version for the PlayStation 5 and PC. There is no news if the game mode will make its way onto the original TLOU Part 2 release version, which came out in 2020.
How to Play Chronological Mode
To play the chronological mode in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. Players will just have to navigate to the game’s main menu and click the Extras menu. From there, click on Chronological Mode.
