Super Mario Bros. Wonder first came out in 2023 as a platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is located in the Flower Kingdom and was just found by Captain Toad. This is where players can enjoy multiplayer activities or tackle challenges from different game courses. The park sits on misty plains, facing tall hills with flower designs and grassy tops. The park features big white walls decorated with flower patterns and blue accents, plus towers topped like Poplin’s head buds. Parts of the walls and towers are broken or ruined.
The Bellabel Park consists of three different locations: Attraction Central, Camp Central, and Toad Brigade Training Camp. Attraction Central offers multiplayer games for local or online play, like co-op teamwork or VS battles. The left “Local Multiplayer Plaza” has 17 attractions for up to 4 players via local or GameShare. The right “Game Room Plaza” has 6 attractions for up to 8 local wireless or 12 online players.
Whereas, the Camp Central is Bellabel Park’s lower area with a giant arch of seven Bellabel Flowers plus one big one. The Toad Brigade tent leads to training challenges from the main game courses. And the Toad Brigade Training Camp, hosted by Blue Toad, lets up to 4 players tackle course objectives.

The release of the Super Mario Bros Wonder on Nintendo Switch 2 is a part of the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary celebration. The enhanced port of Super Mario Bros. Wonder + Meetup in Bellabel Park will release on March 26, 2026. First announced during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct, the port will include new multiplayer co-op, assist mode, and competitive game modes. Alongside new playable and non-playable characters, such as Rosalina and Co-Star Luma, the Koopalings, the Baby Yoshis, and Brigade Blue Toad. New bosses, new power-ups, objects, and more.
Is Super Mario Bros Wonder Multiplayer?
Being one of the best family games, Super Mario Bros Wonder, obviously features a multiplayer mode, allowing upto 4 players to play locally on one console and up to 12 players in an online “Friend Room” (with 4 players per course). The game includes online co-op with live player “shadows” from around the world. Moreover, players can choose their favourite characters, such as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, and Toad.
Players should know that online play in Super Mario Bros Wonder requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership. And while you participate in multiplayer, you can also see other players as live, translucent shadows in real-time, allowing for revival if a player becomes a ghost. Furthermore, players can help each other by giving items, reviving ghosts, or using standees. Unlike previous 2D Mario games, players do not collide with each other, meaning you cannot jump on each other or knock each other off.

Since the game is divided into parts, such as the main story and secrets, many players are confused about how long it actually is. To answer that, the platformer game takes approximately 8 to 12 hours to complete the main story for an average player. A more thorough playthrough that includes finding most secrets takes around 13 to 16 hours, while 100% completionists can expect to spend 20 to 35 hours.

If you want to 100% the game, there are FAR more levels and challenges to do than, say, New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
