A-Tier Summoners War Monsters

The A-tier presents an overview of the Summoners War monsters that are widely considered to be strong, even more than many in the S-tier. The reason they are put into the A-tier category is widely because they may lack team synergy with some of the meta monsters. In specific teams, certain monsters are simply not functionable. It can be due to many reasons such as low speed, bad rune quality, etc. A little buff, although unlikely, can help push their rankings considerably.

C-Tier Summoners War Monsters

This tier harbors the monsters that have really fallen out of the meta. In fact, they are so far behind the rest of the meta that they are in serious need of some buffs to be relevant. These monsters have amazing base stats, just that their meta rankings have fallen off. This can be due to more powerful monster releases recently, or due to recent nerfs hit for the monsters in this tier. Rakan, for example, hasn’t seen a good buff in over 4 years.

Summoners War Monsters Roles Explained

A strong Summoners War team always has monsters of different roles. These monsters have specific roles assigned to them, according to which they perform in battles. If you’re confused as to which type of monsters you should use in a team, worry not as we are here to solve all these queries. First up, you will benefit if by understanding what each of these roles bring to the table:

  • Attack – As the name itself might portray, Attack type monsters specialize in dealing damage. Be it single target or AoE targeted, the monsters of this category excel at destroying foes. Make sure to build them with Attack, Crit rate, and Crit damage runes for the best case benefits. Ideally, you can put 1 or 2 attack monsters in your teams.
  • HP – HP-based monsters have large pools of health, making them the foremost option of a tank. You can soak up a ton of damage, while also dealing damage according to your MAX HP. Many heroes of this category are also considered bruisers that can deal damage while also taking some back in return. These monsters are conditional and you can take up 1 of them in the team.
  • Support – The Support role is a fan-favourite as it likes to introduce new buffs and effects for new monster releases. These monsters can change the tide of the battle in your favour at any point of time, thanks to their mesmerizing crowd-control abilities. Many supports are also adept at healing, buffing, and debuffing. You can take up 1 or 2 of these monsters in your team.
  • Defense – Monsters who scale with their Defense or have a high Defense stat in general prove to be quite beneficial in most cases. Such monsters rarely see the light of the day in most scenarios. However, they can also double down as tanks under the right conditions, and if built the right way. You can choose to take 1 Defense type monster. Again, this choice is conditional.

Summoners War Tier List Factors

While building this Summoners War tier list, we took into account a lot of different factors. These factors provided us clarity on how to rank the different monsters in the different tiers. Consider them the building blocks of this tier list. Check out all the different factors:

  • Rarity – Suffice to say, the rarity of the monster played a huge role in placing them in the tiers. A higher rarity such as nat 5 results in the monster also having higher stats, paired with stronger abilities when compared to one that is below.
  • Role – Monsters of some roles are more valuable than the rest such as Attack or Support. Sadly, these are the ones that are also in demand. This makes them much more valuable.
  • Team Synergy – When building the tier list, we also took into account the team synergy quotient of the monsters. Some monsters naturally perform well with others, thanks to their abilities working in tandem. Such monsters whose abilities are self-sufficient as a whole are put higher on the list.
  • Community Rankings – A lot of the time, the community of a game knows which monsters are the strongest. We scavenged through the different Summoners War tier lists posted by community members to take reference. This helped us make the tier list more accurate.
