Stormgate Character Guide

We know you’ve been hyped like we have over Stormgate. This game is shaping up to be an absolute blast, and today, we’re diving headfirst into the Humans’ characters, units, and buildings. Grab your snacks, get comfy, and dive into the Stormgate Character Guide!

The Human Resistance Units

Lancer

First, there’s the Lancer. This is an up-close kind of fellow against enemies. Armed with an enormous high-tech sword, Lancer is the last melee soldier you want messing with. He will serve those players who love to charge into battle and dish out heavy damage well. Think of him as a knight in shining armour but with a futuristic feel.

Evac

Next on the list is the Evac. You may remember seeing this dropship in the initial Stormgate reveal, but now it is officially named. Your rapid extraction and deployment of troops should be the Evac. It’s no-nonsense, no-fuss, and gets the job done so you can go right with this choice for any tactical operation. The Evac has your back, be it getting your units out of a bad situation or bringing in some enforcement.

Vulcan

Say hello to the Vulcan, also known as the Minigun Mech. It’s all about heavy firepower with this guy. Spinning up with a minigun, the Vulcan’s perfect for mowing waves of enemies down. It is one unit we have seen before, but now it is back and better than ever. Plus, it looks pretty cool in blue.

Skyrider

There’s also this flying mech, remotely a Skyrider, another unit added to the Human Resistance arsenal. In the centre is this energy core, and a Skyrider resembles a spellcaster, like Starcraft’s Science Vessel. It’s a versatile unit that can provide air support and cast spells to turn the tide of battle.

Buildings: Where the Magic Happens

Barracks and Biokinetics Lab

Every great army requires a place to train its soldiers, and that’s where the Barracks come in. The Barracks have undergone some changes since we first saw them, but their purpose remains the same: training non-mech units. Joined by the Barracks is the Biokinetics Lab. This building could be used for upgrades or as a tech building that enables you to keep your units at the cutting edge of combat technology.

Machine Factory and Mech Bay

Next, the Machine Factory and newly teased Mech Bay will be the buildings that will be available. These two are complementary buildings, with one most likely producing units and another being an upgrade facility or a tech building. In this regard, the Machine Factory was previewed on Valentine’s Day, while the Mech Bay is fresh. Together, they become an excellent backbone of your mech production line to help you field enough firepower to defeat any threat.

Therium Refinery

The final building on the list is the Therium Refinery. As the name suggests, this building has something to do with the processing of Therium, one of the essential resources of the game. This is to be pretty serious about its business as it grinds for your war machine—a critical building to keep your economy in resources and your units at their best.

Key Characters: Faces of the Resistance

Amara

First, there are characters like this chick, the badass Amara. So far, she is the only one named, and she has a high-quality art piece showing her being all gritty and dirty, bearing a large scar on her. Amara looks like one of those people who has gone through many battles. We do not know much about her, but it is right to say she will feature prominently in the story.

Unknown Soldiers and Scientist

We also saw three more characters: two soldiers and one scientist. Although their names are unknown, these people help flesh out the roster for the Human Resistance. Another handsome-looking fan theory pegs the scientist as having performed the first-ever opening of a Stormgate, an event that might become key within the game’s story. Keep watching for updates as we learn more about these compelling characters.

Then there’s the famous chicken. Yes, you read that right. There’s a chicken, and it’s already a fan favourite.

Summary

And there you have it—your detailed guide on the Human Resistance in Stormgate. From powerful units like Lancers and Vulcans to key buildings like Barracks and Therium Refinery and intriguing characters like Amara, the Human Resistance stands well prepared against all odds.
