Star Wars Outlaws Future Update Plans

Star Wars Outlaws has joined the long list of Ubisoft titles bombing when it comes to sales and fan reception, with the gaming receiving mediocre to semi-positive reviews across forums and more. With Ubisoft being on the back foot ever since the announcement of the game, the developers have now hinted at a few areas of focus for future game updates to expand the Outlaws and provide a more immersive Star Wars experience to the players. Let’s take a look at the areas of focus for Star Wars Outlaws Future Update Plans and more.

Recent Patches and Updates

Star Wars Outlaws puts the players in the role of an upcoming scoundrel, Kay Vess, as she is tasked with gathering a crew to pull off some of the biggest heists in the Star Wars saga. The game has fallen short of what Ubisoft expected, with sales dropping soon after the release and the game only being able to sell a million copies across platforms. Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s developers of Outlaws have shared their areas of focus for improving the overall Game experience along with fixes and stability issues.

Massive Entertainment, in recent months, since the game’s launch in August, has refined the game through patches and updated tweaks to the stealth mechanic of the game, which received negative feedback from fans and critics alike. The game underwent patches throughout the month of October that focused on fixing bugs and other gameplay aspects to make the experience far smoother than the launch.

Future Update Plans for Star Wars Outlaws

The developers will be focusing on three major areas of refinement for future updates: Stealth, Combat, and Character control. Massive is looking forward to improving the game’s combat to be more rewarding and a more in-depth approach to melee and weapons combat. Stealth is also a major focus as the devs promise to improve the readability and consistency of enemy detection and provide the players with more varied approaches when playing through missions where the game emphasizes stealth mechanics. And thirdly is the overall character control for Kay Vess, with the aim of improving the responsiveness of the games to the player’s input, as these tweaks will improve the overall quality of life and make the gameplay feel smoother in every corner.

Star Wars Outlaws’ next major update, 1.4, will be released alongside the first DLC for the game, the first-ever story expansion, on November 21. The Wild Card DLC will add new side quests and the inclusion of the fan-favorite Lando Calrissian. The DLC will add a much-needed breath of fresh air to the game, and future updates will improve the Star Wars Outlaws experience.

Summary

Star Wars Outlaws wasn’t quite the push Ubisoft was looking forward to, with the game meeting delivering below expectations, putting Ubisoft on the back foot yet again. Fans can only hope for a much better experience with Star Wars Outlaws Future Update Plans in motion.
