FC 25 is coming on 27th September, 2024! All football fans are brimming with excitement as folks are saying that this installment is going to be the best yet. What you need to know is that this new launch is bringing many new upgrades with it! And one of them is the Rush Mode in FC 25.
What is Rush Mode?
Rush is a newly introduced fast 5v5 mode, where you will get to play on a small-sided pitch with 3 other players. It includes 4 modes:
- Ultimate Team™
- Clubs
- Manager Career
- Kick Off
Ultimate Team
In Rush, you can build your dream team and compete against rival teams in 5v5 matches with customized rules. Now you can put your tactics to the test in this frenzied mode: blend rush with the fun of your personal roster.
Clubs
In Clubs, Rush provides an opportunity to play with friends and create your own club with which you will compete to win in 5v5 matches, which is quite cool, and needs no specific positions. It adds another touch of strategy to the game.
Manager Career
In Manager Career, you can now employ Rush to train your players in fast-paced, high-scoring matches. It brings out a new, thrilling way to play tactics management, enhances team dynamics, and gives players a unique experience during the game.
Kick Off
This allows you fast jump-in in 5v5s with friends or AI. Its short match times and special rules make for perfect casual, high-energy gaming. Its short match times and special rules make for perfect casual, high-energy gaming.
What does Rush Mode change?
1. Volta is Gone
With Rush’s introduction in FC 25, Volta will no longer return as a standalone mode. However, you can still play Volta-style 3v3 matches under Kick Off.
2. Match Duration and Tiebreakers
Rush matches last for seven minutes. If the scores are tied, a golden goal rule adds two minutes and 20 seconds. If it’s still a draw, the game moves to a penalty shootout.
3. AI-Goalkeeper
Even though Rush is a 5v5 mode, only four players are human-controlled, with the goalkeeper managed by AI.
4. No Fixed Positions
Rush doesn’t have fixed positions, so players must coordinate with their teammates to ensure a balanced attack and defense.
New Rules in Rush Mode
1. Offside Rule
The offside rule is only applied once a player enters the final third of the pitch, not from the halfway line like in standard matches.
2. No Red Cards
There are no red cards in Rush. Instead, blue cards are given for serious fouls, resulting in a one-minute sin bin for the offender. If the other team scores during this time, the punishment is shortened by 15 seconds. Two yellow cards also lead to a blue card.
3. Special Penalty Kicks
Penalties in Rush are taken from the “final third line” and are one-on-one with the goalkeeper, similar to hockey.
Rush Stadium X Nike
All Rush matches are played in the custom-built Rush Stadium, designed in partnership with Nike and inspired by their Mercurial football boots. The stadium has a futuristic look and even features special effects like drone light shows.
