PlayStation Plus’s 15th anniversary celebrations are still ongoing. PS recently announced a special set of 15th Anniversary Avatars, featuring top-rated titles such as Hogwarts Legacy, God of War Ragnarok, and more, all free. They also added one of the best action RPGs, Cyberpunk 2077, to the PS Plus games catalog. To make things even better, they will introduce three new games for PS Plus members starting August 5. Let’s take a closer look at all the PS Plus games coming in August 2025.
PS Plus Games for August 2025
This August, PlayStation Plus is offering new games for members to enjoy. Expect exciting adventures, fast-paced action, and creative stories in this month’s lineup. The new PS Plus games of August will be available to download and play starting August 5, 2025.
Lies of P
Released on September 19, 2023, Lies of P is an action RPG soulslike game inspired by the classic tale of Pinocchio. Developed by Round 8 Studio, a South Korean game developer, this dark fantasy game has earned more than 10 awards. It is praised for its art direction, challenging combat, atmospheric setting, and clever adaptation of Pinocchio.

The story focuses on ‘P’, a sentient puppet who fights through the ruined city of Krat, facing hostile puppets and citizens to uncover its secrets. Lies of P is undoubtedly the biggest highlight here and should be the first game you try this month. It also has a DLC expansion called Overture, but it isn’t included in this PS Plus offer.
My Hero One’s Justice 2
Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, My Hero One’s Justice 2 is a 3D arena fighting game based on the popular manga and anime series My Hero Academia. Released in early 2020 for last-gen consoles and PC, the game allows you to play as classic heroes and villains, each with unique superpowers. It offers chaotic, fast-paced battles in large, destructible arenas. The game features a story mode that follows events from the anime’s fourth season, along with offline and online multiplayer, mission mode, arcade, and extensive character customization.

Bandai Namco is also releasing the final entry in the series called My Hero Academia All’s Justice. It is likely to come out around the same time as the final season of the anime. For more details about this action-packed fighting game, check out this blog.
Day Z
The third game making its way to the PS Plus games catalog this August is Day Z. It is a hardcore online survival open-world game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Up to 60 players try to stay alive in a world filled with dangerous infected and other survivors. It features expansive maps called Chernarus and Livonia, offering different environments to explore and survive.

There are no save points; if you die, you lose everything and must restart. Players need to find supplies, avoid danger, and stay cautious around infected and other players to survive as long as possible.
PS Plus Games Leaving in August 2025
Added on July 1, 2025, these three games will leave the PS Plus games catalog on August 4, 2025:
- Diablo IV
- The King of Fighters XV
- Jusant

PlayStation Plus members have until August 4 to add these games to their library. Make sure to do so soon, or they’ll be gone from the catalog. Check them out if you’re interested in a mix of fantasy action, intense fighting, and a creative climbing adventure. Don’t miss your last chance. Once they’re gone, you won’t be able to play them for free with PS Plus.
Summary
PlayStation Plus is still celebrating its 15th anniversary with new games for August 2025. Starting August 5, members can download and play Lies of P, My Hero One’s Justice 2, and DayZ. These games offer adventure, action, and engaging stories. Meanwhile, Diablo IV, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant will leave the PS Plus catalog on August 4, so members should add them before then to keep playing for free.
